When Goliath came out and menaced the army of Israel, the Bible says that their reaction was to retreat from him intimidated.
"When all the Israelite men saw Goliath, they retreated from him terrified." (1 Samuel 17:24)
Everyone had the same reaction, one contagious the others with the spirit of fear so they all were embarrassed, and worse, they were about to lose everything.
So many people are being threatened daily by the problem and retreat for fear to face it, when David heard what had happened, his reaction was completely different from that coward army, he thought differently, acted differently, talked differently, did something different, and supported by God his word against Goliath were:
"Today, the Lord will hand you over to me. Today, I'll strike you down, cut your head off..." (1 Samuel 17:46)
In conclusion David beat because of having a different reaction, a different attitude, because that day when the giant fell made a big difference in his life later on becoming the best king that Israel had so far.
What happened to those who were part of the army of Israel?
Each of them had in their hands the opportunity to be different, but for not take it because of the fear, were forgotten.
And you, will retreat from the problem or will you react differently?
